Atkritka is a theatrical performance by Cowboy Bij Nacht. It is based on the documentary film Checkpoint of Yoav Shamir, concerning the social intercourse between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian citizens at checkpoints around the Palestinian areas. For this play, I composed a multichannel soundtrack.
Scenes From my Backyard is a 4-channel video installation in cooperation with Alexander de Vree and Mariska Hogendoorn. It is a ‘panoramic tableau vivant’ in which moving panoramic images are extended over 4 adjacent projection-screens. In a 15 minutes long time lapse sequence, the spectator is taken along different ‘everyday scenes’ of a family in their backyard.
24H Panorama (4 min. / SD Video / Sound) is a short animated film of panoramic still images. In this film, time and space seem to exist independently in a sequence of tranquil landscapes. It is the first project in what will become a series of short films that deal with manipulated perception of time and space.
