Scenes From My Backyard (2006)

Scenes From my Backyard is a 4-channel video installation in cooperation with Alexander de Vree and Mariska Hogendoorn. It is a ‘panoramic tableau vivant’ in which moving panoramic images are extended over 4 adjacent projection-screens. In a 15 minutes long time lapse sequence, the spectator is taken along different ‘everyday scenes’ of a family in their backyard.
Film/Space (2003)

Film/Space is a monumental multi-channel video installation without sound. It exists of 24 projection-screens, placed in a precise spatial arrangement. The visitor walks around in a filmic landscape of continuously changing projected forms in perfect linear perspective. One’s ability to perceive space is constantly put to the test; the visitor is encouraged to view the installation from different perspectives and to see the projected images in relation to the physical space surrounding the installation.
Afterimage (1999)

Afterimage is a 3 channel video installation in cooperation with Mariska Hogendoorn, and is about the thin line between perception and interpretation. Flashes of faces with different expressions randomly appear on three monitors, that immediately begin to degenerate into “smears” of color. Because images appear unexpected, the visitor is almost always ‘too late’, forcing him to ‘mentally reconstruct’ these blurry images into facial expressions.
